Hi. I’m new here but just want to let everyone know, as of 12/14/2018, the trick is still working. I got my RN BSN outside the country unfortunately California board changed the rules so I challenged the NCLEX LVN. Graduated back in 2008. I just took NCLEX LVN last month December 13, 2018. I finished the exam at 171 questions. Mostly SATAs, 2 pharma, and graphs. Only a few multiple choices. After the exam, got the email from pearson vue saying that I completed the exam. December 14, the next day, at 2pm. I used an old gift card (exact card number, and correct expiration date) went to the pearson vue website and did the trick, gave me a positive response. “That you have recently scheduled an exam”. Quick results are not available in California, so I just followed the BVNPT processing timeline. I just got the mail, last week January 2nd that I passed. I studied and review for 1.5 months. I used kaplan qbank, 100 questions a day, and saunders comprehensive and questions 100 a day. And since it’s been 10 years, I reviewed all body systems anatomy and physiology as well as pathophysiology of each disease. I just used Youtube for that. Goodluck!
